Dance Visions' "Dreamscape" is a
new multi-media dance theater work created by Beth
Jucovy specifically for the "Night Journeys" exhibit at the Long Island
Children's Museum, 11 Davis Avenue in Garden City, NY . Performances will
be on July 27, 28, 31 and Aug. 3 at 1:30 in the Museum Theater. Workshops
for families on the creation of Dreamscape will be on July 29 and 30, also
at 1:30
in
the theater. For both Ages: 3 and up.

A preview of excerpts from "Dreamscape" will be performed
at Heckscher Park on Sunday, July 18 at 8:30 along with programs of other
Long Island dance companies. Free event,
Chapin Rainbow Stage, Heckscher
Park, Huntington. Located on Main St. in Huntington Village. This unique
dance/theater performance depicts glimpses into the dream-state the sublime
as well as the ridiculous. It is a light-hearted and exciting look into the
bizarre world of dreams. Gymnastics, classical dance, modern dance,
hip-hop, and even tap are fused into this delightful and creative "Night's
Journey".
The program includes nine Dance Visions dancers, narrator Shirley Romaine,
two children actor/dancers and eclectic musical selections including
original
compositions by Paul Joseph and Adrienne Ramm.
